PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Scottie Scheffler won the 2024 Players Championship on Sunday at TPC Sawgrass, earning his second-career PGA Tour title.

Scheffler shot a final-round 69 to finish at 18-under 270, one stroke ahead of Brian Harman, Xander Schauffele, and Wyndham Clark.

The 25-year-old Scheffler earned $3.6 million for his victory, moving him to No. 1 in the world ranking.

In a thrilling finish, Harman, Schauffele, and Clark all had birdie putts on the 18th green to force a playoff, but each missed.
